Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 20, 2026 · Last Updated: June 20, 2026

RAMTUNES ("RAMTUNES," "we," "us," or "our") is the sync licensing, music production, and audio engineering business of Ramon F. Tenorio Jr. ("RAM"), based in Iloilo City, Philippines. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data when you visit ramtunes.ph ("the Site"), submit a brief or quote request, or otherwise engage our services.

This Policy is written to comply with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and the issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC). By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

1. Who We Are

RAMTUNES is operated by Ramon F. Tenorio Jr., a sole proprietor providing sync licensing, custom music production, ghost production, and mixing/mastering services. For purposes of the Data Privacy Act, RAMTUNES acts as the Personal Information Controller for data collected through this Site.

2. Personal Data We Collect

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it to us, such as when you fill out a contact form, request a quote, submit a sync brief, or send us an email. This may include:

  • Identity and contact information: name, email address, phone number, company or production house name.
  • Project details: brief descriptions, scene references, mood boards, budget ranges, deadlines, and other information you submit for custom production or licensing requests.
  • Communications: the content of messages, emails, or files you send us in connection with a project.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected automatically through Google Analytics and similar tools (see Section 6, Cookies).

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (e.g., health, religion, government ID numbers) unless you choose to include it in a message, and we do not collect payment card details directly — any paid engagement is arranged separately by invoice or through a licensed third-party payment processor.

3. How We Use Your Data

We process personal data for the following purposes, consistent with the criteria of consent, contract, and legitimate interest under RA 10173:

  • To respond to briefs, quote requests, and general inquiries.
  • To prepare proposals, license agreements, and project deliverables.
  • To communicate with you about an ongoing or prospective project.
  • To improve the Site's content and performance, using aggregated, non-identifying analytics.
  • To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data based on: (a) your consent, given when you submit a form or send us a message; (b) the necessity of processing to take steps toward, or perform, a contract for services you request; and (c) our legitimate business interest in operating and improving the Site, balanced against your rights as a data subject.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with the following categories of third parties, solely to operate the Site and deliver our services:

  • Form and email service providers (e.g., Formspree, Getform, or our email host) used to route inquiries and brief submissions to RAM.
  • Analytics providers (Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager) used to understand how visitors use the Site.
  • Embedded media and catalog platforms (DropCue, Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud) used to stream our music catalog. These third-party services may set their own cookies and collect data under their own privacy policies when you interact with their embedded players.
  • Professional advisors (e.g., accountants, legal counsel) where necessary to fulfill a contract or comply with the law.

We may also disclose personal data if required by law, court order, or a valid request from the National Privacy Commission or other government authority.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site uses cookies via Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand traffic and usage patterns, and relies on third-party embeds (DropCue, Spotify, YouTube) that may set their own cookies when their players are loaded. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may limit some functionality, such as analytics or auto-playing embedded media.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to maintain business and tax records as required by Philippine law, or to resolve disputes. Brief and quote submissions that do not result in a signed engagement are generally retained for a reasonable period to allow follow-up, after which they may be archived or deleted.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable organizational, physical, and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we hold, including restricted access to project files and correspondence, and the use of reputable third-party providers for hosting, forms, and analytics. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the right to:

  • Be informed that your personal data will be, are being, or were processed.
  • Access your personal data that we hold.
  • Correct any inaccurate or outdated personal data.
  • Object to the processing of your personal data, including for direct marketing.
  • Erasure or blocking of your personal data under certain conditions.
  • Data portability, to obtain a copy of your data in an electronic format.
  • Lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph) if you believe your rights have been violated.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12 below. We will respond within a reasonable period and in accordance with NPC guidelines.

10. Children's Privacy

This Site is intended for businesses, music supervisors, agencies, and adult clients. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that a child has submitted personal data without parental consent, we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will indicate the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
